Bridget McNulty

BRIDGET MCNULTY is a South African writer and journalist, and a Type 1 diabetic. Her first novel, Strange Nervous Laughter, was published in South Africa in 2007 and in the USA in 2009. She has written articles for a number of South African magazines, and frequently writes about diabetes.

In 2008 she was voted one of Cosmopolitan magazine’s Awesome Women, an award extended to 30 South African women who are making a difference in their chosen field and inspiring other women to live their best lives.

MARK PEDDLE is a South African art director and photographer. Having worked in retail for years (establishing the popular Mr Price Sport brand in South Africa, and working on the country’s largest retail brand, Pep) he decided to go freelance and pursue his love of photography.
Mark has a keen eye for detail and a passion for travel, nature and the outdoors.

Mark’s only brother was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 11, so he has grown up alongside the condition and is well aware of the intricacies of living with diabetes. He is also aware that there is no reason for diabetes to stand in the way of living a full and active life.
