On 25 October, this bespoke gourmet tour takes you to Beijing, to experience the city at its best during its Olympics year and to end the trip at the Great Wall of China. We start with the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square at the heart of this historic capital, and then take time to discover and enjoy an insider’s gem: a Sichuanese meal in a secluded courtyard down one of the characterful Hutongs, taking you back in time before millions were invested in changing the face of the city forever for the Olympics.

No visit to the city is complete without a detour to the Great Wall, but we start with the classic visit to the Forbidden City, where the last emperor lived until 1924, and the historic Tiananmen Square.
